Keeping dollars local is very important to our community and encouraged by the Chamber of Commerce. Pagosa Perks are local checks that come in various denominations that spend just like cash at any Chamber business. They may be purchased at the Chamber or by phone. We accept cash, checks or credit cards for their purchase. Pagosa Perks make great gifts any time of the year and are valuable employee incentives or can be included in a lodging package. SunDowners
SunDowners are Business After Hours Networking events. SunDowners are perfect if you are a new business, a business that has added a feature or expanded your services, or a great way to bring recognition to your business. Signing up for a Sundowner occurs once a year; the first Monday in October and is on a first come, first served basis. We also encourage businesses to partner for a SunDowner especially if you are a home-based business. For more information on hosting a SunDowner, contact the Chamber.
Business Bites Luncheons
Business Bites occur once a month, typically on the 3rd Tuesday of the month. Every month there is a different topic including marketing, finance, insurance, tax credits, business expansion, and other pertinent information that would aid you in running your business more efficiently. The sessions last approximately one hour and lunch is included. A small fee is charged. Contact the Chamber or check the calendar for the monthly topic and location.
Maximizing Your Membership
Maximizing Your Membership is a service offered to Chamber members or businesses interested in becoming a Chamber member where your Chamber benefits are reviewed. This session will aid you in utilizing the Chamber website to the best of YOUR advantage and gives you content management control. The short class also informs you of various sponsorship and advertising opportunities and services offered by the Chamber at little or no cost. Maximizing Your Membership classes are usually held in the mornings and rotate to various restaurants around town. Check the Chamber calendar or call for time and location.
Small Business Development Center
The Southwest Small Business Development Center located at Ft. Lewis College in Durango has the director of the center come to Pagosa for a full day every month. Individual meetings can be made with the director to discuss a business plan, loan opportunities, business creation or anything related to business. Appointments can be made for the 4th Tuesday of the month through the Chamber of Commerce.
